وضع الاتحاد منذ تأسيسه نصب أعينه بناء صناعة غذائية فلسطينية ذات قدرة تنافسية،  ولتحقيق هذا الهدف عمل الاتحاد على بناء الأرضية الصلبة لبناء مقومات هذا الهدف، حيث يقدم الاتحاد لأعضائه المهام والخدمات التالية:

• التدريب والتوعية والإرشاد
• ترويج وتطبيق مفاهيم الأنظمة الحديثة في الجودة والإدارة والإنتاج
• تقديم الخدمات والاستشارات في مجال التشريعات وتطوير المنتجات وأنظمة الإدارة والصحة والسلامة
• الاتصال والتنسيق والتشاور مع أجهزة ومؤسسات القطاع العام
• تنظيم إرسال واستقبال البعثات التجارية وزيارة المعارض التجارية والفنية المتخصصة
• تنظيم ورعاية معرض الغذاء الفلسطيني سنويا
• الاتصال مع المؤسسات والمنظمات الدولية في فلسطين والخارج
• إصدار الدوريات والمنشورات العلمية والاقتصادية المتعلقة بالصناعات الغذائية

نقاط عمل الاتحاد الاساسية:

يعمل اتحاد الصناعات الغذائية الفلسطينية مع كل الجهات المحلية والدولية الحكومية والخاصة والمؤسسات الاهلية من اجل النهوض بقطاع الصناعات الغذائية الفلسطينية ومن اهمها:

1. عضوية الاتحاد في كل اللجان الوطنية والمحلية الحكومية والخاصة والاهلية لتمثيل القطاع الصناعي الغذائي الفلسطيني ونقل افكار ومقترحات القطاع في اعداد القوانين والاستراتيجيات او المشاريع المختلفة.
2. عضوية الاتحاد في المنظمات الدولية العاملة في قطاع الصناعات الغذائية في دولة فلسطين وذلك لتمثيل القطاع في العمل المنفذ من قبل المنظمات الدولية.
3. عضوية الاتحاد في المنظمات الدولية في الخارج مثل الاتحاد العربي للصناعات الغذائية واتحاد الصناعات الغذائية والزراعية التابع لمنظمة التعاون الاسلامي.
4. مشاركة الاتحاد في المؤتمرات الدولية والمعارض العالمية من خلال التواصل المباشر مع الاتحاد وتقديم افضل الخدمات لاعضاء الاتحاد.
5. التعاون والتشارك مع كل المؤسسات المحلية التي تكون على علاقة مباشرة مع الاغذية او صناعات تكميلة من اجل توفير الافضل للصناعات الغذائية.
6. جلب المشاريع والبرامج الدولية للتنفيذ مع قطاع الصناعات الغذائية والتي تعمل على تطوير القطاع من خلال البنية التحتية او الجودة او التسويق الخ......
7. عضوية الاتحاد في برامج التعليم الجامعي مع كل الجامعات الفلسطينية من اجل تطوير قطاع الصناعات الغذائية والتركيز في العملية التعليمية بما يخدم القطاع الصناعي من ابحاث وتجارب وتطوير.

 : Scope of work and major activities

The PFIU offers quality services catering to a wide continuum of needs as well as addressing specific gaps or demand of members companies. The following are key programs and  services delivered by PFIU: 

• Training programs
• Promoting modern quality, production standards and specifications
• Providing consultation services in the field of legislation, product development, and safety systems
• Communication, consultancy, and coordination with all parties of concern
• Organizing specialized commercial and technical exhibitions
• Organizing and sponsoring the Palestinian Food exhibition
• Communication with international firms in Palestine and abroad
• Issuing scientific and economic periodicals related to food industry.

The main action points of the Federation :

The Palestinian Food Industries Union works with all local and international governmental and private entities and private institutions to advance the Palestinian food industries sector, the most important of

1. Membership of the Union in all national and local governmental, public and private committees to represent the Palestinian industrial food sector and convey the ideas and proposals of the sector in preparing various laws, strategies or projects.
2. Membership of the Union in the international organizations working in the food industries sector in Palestine to represent the sector in the work carried out by international organizations.
3. Union membership in international organizations, such as the Arab Federation for Food Industries and the Federation of Food and Agricultural Industries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
4. The Unions participation in international conferences and international exhibitions through direct communication with the union and providing the best services to the Union members.
5. Cooperation and partnership with all local institutions that are in direct relationship with the food or complementary industries in order to provide the best for the food industries.
6. Bringing international projects and programs for implementation with the food industries sector, which work to develop the sector through infrastructure, quality, marketing, etc.
7. Union membership in university education programs with all Palestinian universities in order to develop the food industries sector and focus in the educational process in a way that serves the industrial sector in terms of research, experience and development.
